ENTRANCE

Hers was an undefinable presence... in that you'd only notice she had entered when she had left.

DISAPPEAR

One hand, loosely, on the wheel, sun in the eyes, a stealthy glance to the right, a prudent smile in a sloping landscape, slowly the screen goes black...

Cassiopeia—Andromeda—Ursa Major—Corona Australis

A liturgy sweet and cold running over the backs of our tongues as we name them;
each collection of stars
a balm against the cold chaos of night.

We draw them closer with our voices; we build shells for our delicate bones from their foxfire.

We create a ceiling in the infinite under which we can dwell—wayfarers in a darkness beyond reckoning.
